4 Reasons to Try Hemp-Derived Full Spectrum CBD Tincture

CBD is one of the many compounds of the cannabis sativa plant. CBD oil has gained a lot of popularity recently. This is due to its benefits, such as reducing inflammation. This article highlights the four benefits of hemp-derived full spectrum CBD oil, including; helping with epilepsy, reducing anxiety, and bringing about the entourage effect.

CBD is available in three types, each with different concentrations and compounds. They include full spectrum CBD, broad-spectrum CBD, and CBD isolate. Full spectrum CBD has all other components of the cannabis plant, such as terpenes, flavonoids, and THC. This is why full spectrum CBD is referred to as 'a whole plant'. CBD is available in different formulations, such as gummies, tinctures, and topicals. There are different ways to administer CBD. One of the ways is sublingual administration. This is done by placing a CBD tincture under the tongue. Below is detailed information on why you should try hemp-derived full spectrum CBD tincture.

    What is CBD?

Cannabidiol (CBD) is an active compound derived from a cannabis or hemp plant which is believed to interact with the cannabinoid receptors in the human body. This hemp extract can be taken orally or topically. CBD products are designed in three different ways depending on the type of CBD, including full-spectrum, broad-spectrum, and CBD isolate. Full-spectrum CBD contains all the components of the cannabis plant including THC, and broad-spectrum contains all the components of the plant except for the THC. CBD isolate is the purest form of CBD, ranked at 99.9%.

Full Spectrum CBD Tincture from Hemp

According to VanDolah, Bauer & Mauck (2019), cannabidiol or CBD, is a non-intoxicating compound mostly extracted from hemp. Hemp is a kind of cannabis sativa plant and has the cannabidiol or CBD compound. CBD oil and CBD tinctures are terms that have been used interchangeably by some people. The two terms are different, considering their composition. Moreover, CBD tinctures are considered the most effective way of consuming CBD products. They can be taken sublingually or added to beverages or food.

The CBD extracted from hemp is mixed with a carrier oil such as coconut oil or hemp seed oil to make CBD oil. On the other hand, CBD tinctures are mostly mixed with alcohol; it is an alcohol-based extract. However, most CBD brands have labeled their products CBD oils. Therefore, it is hard to differentiate between a tincture and oil.

CBD has an effect on the endocannabinoid system (ECS), which is responsible for maintaining homeostasis in the human body. CBD tinctures are administered sublingually and are absorbed straight into the bloodstream through the mucous membranes. Since full spectrum CBD has the psychoactive compound THC, CBD tinctures have a high feeling. However, the THC level must be less than 0.3% for the extract to be considered legal.

Methods of Consuming the Cannabis Tinctures

    Sublingual

This is the most common way of consuming the full spectrum tincture. They are placed beneath the tongue and allowed to stay there for some time until the mucous membranes absorb them. When the mucous membranes absorb them, they are taken into the bloodstream, and their effects will be felt. They are great because it does not take a lot of time for the effects to be felt, and still, the effects will be able to stay for a while before they wear off.

    Topical

Full-spectrum CBD tinctures can also be applied to the skin. Some are alcohol-based and can be used to treat skin conditions such as acne and psoriasis. It can also help to reduce skin irritations. However, the tincture should not be applied to the wounds.

    Ingestion

Tinctures can also be taken through swallowing or adding to the food. They are even known to give out the sedative effects faster than the sublingual application.

    Benefits of Tinctures

CBD tinctures are beneficial in the following ways:

    Has an Entourage Effect

Since full-spectrum CBD has all the compounds of the cannabis plant, CBD tinctures have the entourage effect. According to Nahler, Jones & Russo (2019), the entourage effect is a theory whereby all the compounds of the cannabis plant work together to enhance their effects on the body. By doing so, the components complement the benefits and potency of each other.

It Is a Discreet Method of Consuming the Full-Spectrum

All it takes is for one to put a drop of the full-spectrum CBD and continue with your routine. The cannabinoids can be absorbed into the bloodstream as they pass through the sublingual artery. They are the best since no odour will come out compared to vapes and smoking. This seems to be the best way to consume CBD, especially if you want to be discreet when taking the full spectrum of CBD.

    Helps With Epilepsy

CBD is best known for its therapeutic effects. Epilepsy is a nervous system disorder. FDA has approved the use of epidiolex to treat seizures associated with forms of epilepsy. According to Anderson et al. (2017), CBD helps in reducing epileptic discharge in the brain. This, in turn, helps in reducing seizures.

    Alleviate Cancer-Related Issues

According to Chye et al. (2019), CBD aims at cancer cells. Taking CBD tinctures can help reduce the growth of tumors related to cancer.

    Reduces Anxiety

According to Blessing et al. (2015), CBD helps in reducing anxiety. This has led people affected by this condition to rely on CBD products such as tinctures. Moreover, people with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) can also use CBD tinctures to alleviate anxiety.

    Side Effects

Although CBD tinctures are beneficial, they also have a negative side. Some of the side effects of CBD tinctures include:

When one is on medications, some of the tinctures may interact with the drugs and alter the medicine's effectiveness. The medications may even be exaggerated. The medications may be useless as they won't have any effects. Tinctures may also cause allergies, rashes, and swelling of the tongue.

    Conclusion

CBD tinctures are beneficial to the human body. However, it is crucial to understand that CBD oil is different from CBD tinctures. The difference lies in the substance used to mix the compound, alcohol, or carrier oils such as coconut oil. Not every tincture is taken sublingually. Others can be inhaled like benzoin. Some can be applied to the skin, like iodine. You should make sure that you consult the doctor and use the tinctures as directed. Be mindful of the frequency and dosage.
