    CBD has gained popularity in recent years after being legalized and adopted by many people in the United States. CBD is used both as a recreational product and for medicinal purposes. Effects experienced from CBD usage vary from one person to another, depending on an individual’s body functioning. This article explains some of the effects of CBD on human beings.

It is one of the main compounds of Cannabis and is extracted from the hemp-based product. CBD is known to have many effects, both positive and mild adverse effects. With its legalization, CBD was termed a safe substance to use. The usage is unregulated and has led many manufacturers to produce many CBD products in different formulations, types, and potencies. An individual can choose CBD based on their own choice and preferences. When purchasing, one should be careful to prevent access to products that might harm them when used.

The difference between the three types of CBD is the concentration of the compound, the compounds composed, and their potency levels, as each product is different from the other.

    CBD is safe for human consumption and is legal. If the substance could be toxic to human consumption, the Federal Government could be reluctant to make it legal. Most individuals have tolerated the consumption of CBD well, and it is not associated with many side effects. Adverse effects can be felt by individuals when they use more than usual. One should consult a doctor on the amount of CBD needed to be consumed to prevent any adverse effects. Each person has an endocannabinoid system responsible for regulating various body functions like mood, sleep, appetite, and immune system responses. Baswan et al. (2020) explained that CBD is seen to help reduce chronic pain in the body through the interaction of receptors of the ECS. CBD helps aid in back pains and nerve pains when used accordingly.

    Reduce Mental Health Disorder Symptoms

    Individuals suffering from anxiety and other mental disorders can negatively impact their well-being and health. Primarily, pharmaceutical drugs treat mental disorders with symptoms like agitation, drowsiness, and insomnia. Individuals using CBD have reported positive feedback as CBD helps in reducing symptoms related to anxiety and other mental disorders. It is achieved as the CBD makes an individual calm and relaxed when using it. It can be used as an alternative convention for anxiety-related conditions.

    Some individuals with circulatory and heart conditions can also benefit from CBD use as it is seen to help reduce high blood pressure. Also called hypertension, it is associated with heart attacks and strokes. CBD helps in stress management, reducing it and aiding in the reduction of high blood pressure.

    Side Effects of CBD

    Although CBD is a safe substance, some related side effects can range from mild to severe depending on an individual’s dosages. Individuals should be keen not to overdose, which can result in various side effects. They include; fatigue, dry mouth and eyes, diarrhea, change in sleep, loss of appetite, and drowsiness. An individual needs to consult a doctor on the dosages, and the amount of CBD consumed to prevent any adverse effects. Novices are advised to consume a small amount of CBD while gauging their feelings.

    There are many effects of CBD consumption, both positive and negative. A person decides on how best they can use CBD, either for medicinal purposes or recreational purposes. It is essential as it also helps in determining the dosages needed by a person. One should be careful not to mix CBD with other medication without a doctor’s clarity.
