CBD Peanut Butter, Banana Cacao Smoothie Recipe

CBD is remarkably robust. It is in various forms, such as topical or gummy. Alternatively, one can add CBD to beverages and consume them at any time of day. CBD oil is a great source of antioxidants, terpenes, and flavonoids, compounds that the body can utilize to fight some issues. Preliminary research on CBD indicates that it could be useful in managing pain and inflammation. CBD is also useful in treating various mental health problems such as anxiety, Alzheimer's, and post-traumatic stress disorder.

CBD is mainly obtained from mature, dry hemp in the form of oils used to make different CBD products such as edibles, orals, sublingual, oils and tinctures, and topical products. CBD interacts with the body through the endocannabinoid system, which works in parallel with the central nervous system for proper body functioning. The digestive system is one body organ full of these receptors, thus making oral CBD one great way to administer CBD. Infusing CBD into smoothie recipes is one way to beat the bitter earthy taste of CBD oil but at the same time enjoy the benefits of CBD.

Why Peanut Banana Butter Cacao Smoothie

This recipe utilizes several ingredients full of nutrients making it a good source of body nutrients. These may add to the already known benefits of CBD. Some of the benefits of these ingredients are discussed below:

    Cacao

According to Neilson et al. (2020), cacao is cocoa in its unprocessed, raw state. Theobroma cacao trees are the source of cacao pods. Cocoa powder is made by processing cacao pods produced by cacao trees and then picked, dried, and fermented. There are several advantages to using raw cacao over processed chocolate for the consumer. Flavonoids are abundant in cacao powder. These nutrients have been demonstrated to help decrease blood pressure, enhance heart and brain blood flow, and assist in avoiding blood clots. The potassium content of cacao powder is high. It has been demonstrated that potassium lowers heart disease risk by reducing body inflammation and cell stress. Cacao powder is used in recipes instead of cocoa powder because it is more nutrient-dense. Cacao is rich in iron, protein, magnesium, and fiber, which are useful for different body functions.

     Peanut Butter

According to Shibli et al. (2019), Peanut butter is a protein-rich spread that is popular all over the world. It is created by blending ground peanuts into a thick paste, which is first roasted. The finished product has a variety of nutrients that could improve health. A two-tablespoon serving of peanut butter has about 207 calories, 9 grams of protein, 18 grams fat, 6 grams carbs, and 3 grams fiber. Oleic acid is one of the major fats in peanut butter. Oleic acid help maintains healthy blood pressure, blood sugar, and cholesterol when substituted for other fats in your diet. Antioxidants like manganese, vitamin E, and B vitamins are abundant in peanuts and are important in cell regeneration which goes a long way to preventing diseases like cancer.

    Bananas

In addition to having numerous health advantages, bananas are one of the most consumed fruits worldwide. According to SAAD et al. (2021), bananas include a lot of potassium and fiber pectin. Due to their high vitamin B6 content, bananas have been shown to reduce edema, prevent the onset of Type 2 diabetes, aid in weight loss, improve the nervous system, and promote the creation of white blood cells. Bananas are beneficial to the heart as well. They contain a lot of potassium, an electrolyte, and mineral with a slight electric charge. As a result, potassium helps maintain a healthy balance of water in the cells and sends an electric signal to nerve cells that then fire to keep the heart beating and muscles contracting.

It is easy to make peanut butter at home with the following steps:

    Conclusion

Adding CBD to a peanut butter banana smoothie is one way to prepare a nutrient-dense meal. Bananas are rich in potassium which is good for the heart. Cacao has additional flavonoids which may aid in the absorption of CBD by the body. Peanut butter contains rich oils that can be utilized by the heart for proper functioning. It is important to consult a doctor to advise on whether you have allergic reactions to any of these ingredients.
