The Infinity is by far one of Kenex's best selling scales. The reason is fairly obvious. Its large cover doubles as a weighing BOWL, giving the user a large volumetric area in which to weigh. A scale with these characteristics had to be blessed with intelligence too and therefore is also able to count units.
I recently purchased the Kenex Infinity Scale 200 from Glow Bar LDN, and after some hands-on experience, here's my unfiltered take on this digital scale.
The Kenex Infinity Scale 200 impresses with its precision, measuring down to 0.01g. It has been my reliable companion for meticulous tasks like weighing spices and herbs, providing consistent and accurate readings. The precision is commendable for such a compact scale.
The compact and sleek design of the scale is one of its highlights. It's easy to store and doesn't take up much space in my kitchen. The stainless steel platform is a nice touch for both aesthetics and ease of cleaning. However, the touch-sensitive buttons, while responsive, can be a bit too sensitive, leading to accidental resets.
The overall build quality is satisfactory, but there are a few areas of concern. The stainless steel platform is robust, but the plastic housing feels a bit less durable. I've noticed a slight wobble when placing items near the maximum weight capacity, which raises questions about long-term stability.
In terms of functionality, the Kenex Infinity Scale 200 offers essential features like taring and unit conversion, enhancing its versatility. The response time is quick, providing almost instant readings. However, the auto-off feature can be too quick for my liking, and I find myself needing to restart the scale frequently during extended tasks.
The battery life of the scale is reasonable. The two AAA batteries have held up well during regular use. The auto-off feature likely contributes to preserving battery life, although it can be a bit inconvenient when working on time-consuming projects.
In conclusion, the Kenex Infinity Scale 200 is a compact marvel, delivering impressive precision in a sleek design. While it excels in accuracy and portability, there are minor concerns about the sensitivity of the touch buttons and the overall build quality. If you're in need of a precise and space-saving scale for light to moderate use, the Kenex Infinity Scale 200 is a solid choice with a few quirks to be mindful of.
