How Long Should You Wait between Vape Hits?

Do you know there is a specific time to wait before the vape hits? This article highlights how long one should wait between vapes and the dos and don'ts of vaping.

No matter how much experience you have in vaping, it is essential that you get the most out of your vaporizer and, more importantly, enjoy the vaping experience you expect. It is extremely significant regarding the upkeep of the device and your well-being when vaping. It's true regardless of whether you are an experienced cannabinoid vaping connoisseur, someone who is brand new to the scene, or somewhere in between. Below is what to know about vape hits.

How Long Should You Wait between Vape Hits?

Does the Time You're Waiting Between Vapes Affect Your Health?

There is a lack of consistency and clarity in the medical research regarding the amount of time that should pass between vaping sessions. Rare conditions can occur when inhaling any substance. Therefore, you're encouraged to act cautiously when selecting your chosen vape juice and vape. There is no conclusive health guidance online suggesting the time you wait between vapes is either good or bad for your health. When chain vaping, there is a risk that you could injure yourself, another factor that you should consider. If you vape with a coil while using a high wattage, the temperature of your vape will almost certainly rise as a result of your activity. Although this is rare, if you continue to vape and don't allow enough time for your vaporizer to cool, there is a chance you could burn yourself.

Does the Time You Wait Between Vapes Damage Your Vaporizers

One of the factors that could potentially cause damage to your vaporizer is the amount of time that passes in between draws. Like any other tool, excessive use can eventually lead to damage. Chain vaping is a primary factor contributing to a damaged coil. Taking multiple hits from your vaporizer in a relatively short time will dry out the wick in your vaporizer, which will eventually cause it to catch fire and become unusable.

Waiting sometime between puffs will protect your device, spare you the trouble of cleaning it, and keep you from having to spend money on a new one. If you want to consistently vape in this manner, you become familiar with the signs of a burning coil, which are as follows:

    • E-liquid with an unpleasant taste.
    • Strange 'gurgling' sounds.
    • Insufficient vapor.
    • A flavor that is distinctly burning.
    • Mouth full of liquid, Burnt Lips from Heat.

How Long Should You Wait Between Vapes Hits?

According to Nichter (2015), chain vaping, also known as taking multiple puffs in a short time, is common among smokers who have switched to electronic cigarettes to kick the habit. It may cause your coils to burn out more quickly, resulting in dry hits. If you continue to chain vape even though you can feel your vape device heating up, you risk causing damage to the device itself. For there to be less of a chance of a dry hit, you must let your wicks fully absorb the liquid. Before taking another puff, you should give yourself at least 15 to 30 seconds to rest. People who quit smoking may find that thirty seconds is an interminable waiting time. In this scenario, you can purchase e-juice with a higher nicotine concentration. It will provide you with a satisfying and powerful supply of nicotine in your body, preventing you from being tempted to take another hit before the thirty seconds have passed.

    Dos and Don'ts

    Do Keep Your Device Clean

Your tank collects residue, which can degrade the flavor and quality of your e-liquids if you don't clean them regularly. In most cases, you should clean your tank whenever you change the e-juice you use. At a minimum of once per month, you should thoroughly clean it by emptying it and then immersing it in warm water. If you want a simple tank to clean, you should consider getting an MTL atomizer with a replaceable 510 mouthpiece and a removable 510 mouthpiece. This type of atomizer, like the Zenith Pro Tank, makes it much simpler to clean the tank after switching flavors of e-liquid.

Do Change Flavors Once in a While

Sherry, Blackstad & Wheatley (2019) explained that the vaper's tongue is the name given to one of the most common issues that people who use electronic cigarettes face. You may encounter it when the flavor of your vape juice completely disappears. The taste buds and olfactory glands in your nose and mouth require a rest. When the flavor of your e-juice changes for no apparent reason, you typically do not need to be concerned about anything serious. The symptoms of the vaper's tongue only persist for a few days and only affect the flavor of your e-liquid, not the flavor of authentic foods. In addition, you are free to select a different flavor whenever you like while you are vaping.

Do Wait for a While Before Puffing Again

Chain vaping is one of the new users' most common and potentially damaging behaviors. Before you take another hit, ensure that the wicks have enough time to absorb enough liquid. In most cases, waiting for 15 to 30 seconds before taking another hit is sufficient; however, you may choose to wait for a longer period, particularly if you are frequently experiencing dry hits. It may take some time to get used to, particularly if you were a smoker in the past, because smoking doesn't require you to wait for anything. You can help yourself adjust to vaping by switching to e-liquids with high nicotine content. It will prevent you from having to resort to chain vaping.

    Don't Forget to Hydrate

Li et al. (2016) stated that vaping regularly will leave your mouth feeling dry and uncomfortable. If you stay hydrated, you will reduce the likelihood of developing a condition known as the vaper's tongue.

Due to the presence of propylene glycol, one of the primary components of an e-liquid, vaping can lead to a loss of body water, as described by Sassano et al. (2018). It is very efficient at absorbing water molecules, which can deprive your body of the required water. Because of this, you should consume significantly more water than you would normally.

    Conclusion

Dehydration caused by vaping is fairly common in new users. Drinking water should not be delayed until a state of dehydration or extreme thirst has set in. This article highlights the duration you should wait between vapes. Go through it and have a clearer understanding. You will eventually train your brain to remember to drink water while you vape. In most cases, waiting for 15 to 30 seconds before taking another hit is sufficient.
