    What is CBD?

CBD is one of the active and organic compounds that are found in the cannabis plant. It is known to be a psychotropic compound. This means that it cannot cause a high effect in individuals as it does not have the psychoactive compound THC in them.

    Type of CBD

    There are three different types of CBD. They include;

    Isolate-based CBD

This type of CBD is known to be completely pure. It does not have the presence of any compound that is found in the cannabis plant. This is because it is taken through several processes to ensure that all the compounds in the cannabis plant are removed. This makes it the least active out of all three types of CBD.

    Full-spectrum CBD

Full-spectrum CBD is at times known as whole-plant cannabis. Maayah et al. (2020) stated that full-spectrum CBD has all the compounds found in the cannabis plant. It also has the presence of THC in it. However, the percentage is 0.3 and thus cannot cause a high effect on an individual. Some of the compounds found in the full-spectrum CBD include; flavonoids, terpenes, and other cannabinoids. It is important to know that when an individual consumes a high intake of full-spectrum CBD, they may experience a high THC effect because they may have consumed too much THC.

    Broad-spectrum CBD

In most cases, broad-spectrum CBD has always been confused with being similar to full-spectrum CBD. However, they are not similar. Broad-spectrum CBD has almost all the compounds found in the cannabis plant. However, it does not have THC; if present, they are in small amounts. This means that the only difference between the full-spectrum and the broad-spectrum is the presence of THC in the former.

    What are Munchies?

This is known as the strong desire that one has for food.

Can CBD Give an Individual Munchies?

Piper et al. (2017) reported that CBD had been associated with the properties of giving an individual munchie. However, this is never the case. CBD and cannabis are two different compounds. Cannabis can make a person have munchies. This is because it has the presence of the THC factor and is at high levels, unlike CBD. This means that when one consumes the cannabis compounds, they can get munchies. CBD, on the other hand, is one of the active compounds found in the cannabis plant. It does not have the presence of THC; if present, it is very low and thus cannot affect an individual. Van Wyk et al. (2018) suggested that one should not confuse the CBD and the cannabis plant as the effects they give out are completely different because of the compounds inside them. Does CBD Increase Appetite?

We learn about the benefits of CBD every day. It is still a topic that is not very understood. It takes longer for the effects of CBD to be felt in the body. Therefore, CBD's ability to increase one's appetite is still not a factor. Sometimes, people may feel hungry and have an appetite after consuming CBD. This does not mean that CBD is the one that has contributed to these feelings. However, the frequency when one uses CBD may play a major role in giving an individual appetite.

Can CBD Make a Person Hungry?

Different people have different views on the effects of CBD. Some may have felt that when they have used CBD products, they may have gotten hungry or just felt the need to eat something. However, it is not great to rely on the experiences that one has when they use CBD products. This is because people have different bodies, and the products may not react the same to your body.

    Can CBD Get One High?

Those who believe that CBD can make an individual high perceive that CBD is similar to cannabis. This is never the case. CBD is known to be a psychotropic compound, so it cannot make one get high. This is because it does not have the presence of the psychoactive compound THC. In general, CBD represents the different compounds that are found in the cannabis plant. This means that the only compound that can make one high is the THC or its parent, the cannabis plant.

    What Does CBD Do?

Shannon & Opila-Lehman (2015) noted that CBD has a lot of benefits. Some of them are that they give out munches. In some cases, it can be true. When CBD is taken in high amounts, one may consume too much THC, especially if it's full-spectrum CBD. This means that they may bring about the munchies effect, and one may want to eat almost every time. However, if one is purchasing CBD products containing very few THC, they should not be worried about the munchies' effect.

    Conclusion

It is important to note that there is a difference between hemp-derived and cannabis products. The hemp-derived products do not bring about a high effect. This is because they do not have the presence of the THC factor in them. THC is the compound associated with the properties of giving out the munchies effect. Cannabis products, on the other hand, can always give out the munchies effect. This is because it has the THC compound in them and, when taken in high amounts, can cause a strong desire for food. This article has all the details and how the munchies effect can be achieved if you wish to experience it.
