Cooking with CBD oil is becoming a common method of ingestion of CBD because the flavors mask the CBD taste, and it is fun; you enjoy your favorite food or drink while also ingesting CBD oil. The common way of cooking with CBD oil is baking and mixing CBD with drinks because the oil is not heated directly, and no high temperatures are used. This article will explore the various latte recipes one can incorporate CBD oil.

    One can make their favorite Starbucks peppermint mocha drink infused with CBD oil at home. The ingredients are milk, heavy cream, vanilla syrup, peppermint syrup, chocolate curls, and espresso. To make peppermint mocha taste like Starbucks' consider buying espresso from them. One can also buy ingredients like chocolate syrup and peppermint syrup or make them at home. The total time taken to prepare is 5 minutes.

    Start by making whipped cream by whisking heavy cream and vanilla syrup. Use a handheld milk frother. Put espresso, peppermint syrup, CBD oil, and chocolate in a cup and add steamed milk. Top the drink with whipped cream and garnish with chocolate curls.

    CBD Pumpkin Spice Latte

    To make CBD pumpkin spice latte, one needs; milk, pumpkin puree, pumpkin pie spice, ground and roasted coffee beans, vanilla extract, CBD oil, sugar, or honey for taste. Start by putting milk, pumpkin puree, and sugar in a saucepan and place it over medium heat. Whisk until the sugar and puree dissolve, do not boil. Remove from heat and add pumpkin spice, vanilla extract, and CBD oil. Whisk the mixture with ground coffee until it turns frothy; heat for 2 minutes. Transfer the mixture to a mug or cup and top it with whipped cream and nutmeg.

    CBD Oil Latte

    Unlike other CBD latte recipes, CBD oil latte gives the full taste of CBD and the plant terpenes. One needs milk, cocoa powder, honey, vanilla extract, sea salt, CBD oil, whipped cream, and cinnamon powder. Start by combining milk, cocoa powder, honey, vanilla extract, and salt in a small pot. Heat it over medium heat while whisking to combine the mixture. Remove from the heat and add CBD oil. Transfer to cups and top with whipped cream and cinnamon powder.

    CBD Honey and Lavender Latte

    For this recipe, one needs a French press and a small pot and the total time to prepare and cook is 25 minutes. Other essentials include honey, milk, lavender, and CBD-infused espresso. Start by boiling water and honey. Add lavender and stir. Boil for the next 15 minutes and let it steep for 20 minutes. Strain the syrup into a cup. Warm the milk, pour it into the French press, and give it 15 strong plunges. Add the espresso to the cup and top it with the milk form. You can sprinkle lavender seeds and a drizzle of honey to decorate.

    Other ways to take CBD Oil

    Sublingual Method

    This involves adding CBD oil drops under your tongue and holding it for 60 seconds for absorption to take place. CBD oil is absorbed into the bloodstream through the capillaries and tissues in the sublingual layer. The effect of CBD can be felt after 30 minutes.

    Inhalation Method

    Black (2020) showed that this method is best for taking CBD oil in vapes or smoking CBD concentrate. This is a faster method since the effect of CBD is felt after 15 minutes. CBD is absorbed into the bloodstream with oxygen in the lungs. Vaping is considered a better method since it does not emit smoke, but the long-run effect of vaping is unknown. Carlos et al. (2019) reported that smoking could cause lung diseases.

    Topical Method

    CBD oil can be used on the skin directly in the affected area. Fine& Rosenfeld (2013) explained how CBD oil is absorbed into the skin and binds with ECS receptors. This method is effective for alleviating pain and inflammation. Even though CBD in this method does not go through the bloodstream, it is still slow compared to the other methods of taking CBD.

Remember not to heat CBD oil directly and avoid cooking at high temperatures when cooking with CBD oil. This will ensure that CBD components are not damaged during and after cooking.
