CBD can also be harnessed from marijuana, but this CBD is deemed illegal. The illegality of marijuana and its products is because of its THC content, as it contains more THC content than hemp. According to Subramaniam et al. (2019), tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) is the psychoactive compound in cannabis that causes highness in weed users. Hemp is legal since it only contains THC content of less than 0.3%. There are many ways of taking CBD oil, such as tinctures, vapes, gummies, capsules, topicals, and edibles.     Full-spectrum CBD 

    This type of CBD contains numerous cannabinoids and compounds of cannabis, including THC. However, the THC content is at insignificant levels of less than 0.3% so that you won't feel any highness or intoxication. Full-spectrum CBD is also associated with the entourage effect, which states that using CBD together with other cannabinoids and compounds of cannabis is more effective than using CBD alone.

    Broad-spectrum CBD   

    Broad-spectrum CBD is similar to full-spectrum CBD as it contains numerous cannabinoids and cannabis compounds. However, the difference is that it doesn't contain any THC. Users can also benefit from the entourage effect of using broad-spectrum CBD.

    CBD Isolate 

    CBD isolate contains CBD as the only main component, with no other cannabis compounds or cannabinoids. The fact that it only contains CBD is advantageous as it maintains its potency even when added to other substances. However, with this type of CBD, users miss out on the potential entourage effect. 

    CBD and Weight

    CBD has been getting more attention lately due to its numerous health and wellness benefits. Moreover, CBD is diverse and can be used in various areas for various benefits. However, you must understand that CBD is still a research subject, and there is little information about it. What exists mostly are hypotheses and yet-to-be-proven facts. In this case, it is not certain scientifically how CBD affects weight, whether it increases or reduces weight. While some may report that CBD use leads to an increase in weight, others may report that CBD may be potentially helpful in weight loss. According to Bielawiec, Harasim-Symbor & Chabowski (2020), CBD use leads to fluctuation in appetite, increased metabolism, and browning of the white blood cells.     As most research is based on proving the adverse effects of cannabis as a plant, very little is known about CBD as the information available is limited. From the reports from CBD users, some claim that it leads to reduced appetite, while some report an increment in appetite. The use of CBD in children increased weight from a survey conducted on cannabinoid users. Other studies on children who used CBD showed that CBD could increase appetite as much as it could decrease. As a result, CBD's effects on appetite are yet to be ascertained. More research is needed to establish how CBD affects appetite and whether CBD increases or reduces weight.

    CBD Oil and Browning of the White Blood Cells

    There are two types of fat cells in the human body: brown and white fat. Brown fat cells are related to weight loss since they escalate the burning of calories. This means that the greater the number of brown fat cells, the higher the calorie burning rate and, consequently, the higher the rate of weight loss. CBD could affect the browning of white blood cells, encouraging weight loss. However, you must understand that most of this information is inconclusive and mostly hypothesis and not concrete proof that CBD may affect the browning of cells resulting in weight loss.
