    What is CBD Foot Cream?

CBD cream is a CBD topical product that individuals use to nourish their feet due to CBD's therapeutic properties. There are several benefits of CBD cream, including easing arthritis, treating cracked feet, and relieving and healing blisters. Read on to know more about CBD foot cream.

When the topic of CBD is introduced, people will always talk about CBD gummies or oils. However, in recent years, the increased demand for CBD has made most manufacturers develop different CBD products. These include CBD topicals such as creams, lotions, salves, and balms. Furthermore, they have several benefits to the human body, especially the skin. However, many questions have been posed on how they are absorbed into the skin and whether they get to the bloodstream. This article explains more about CBD foot creams and their therapeutic benefits.

    Analyzing CBD

CBD is a natural, active compound extracted from the cannabis plant. It does not have the psychoactive compound THC and thus cannot make an individual feel 'high.' Furthermore, CBD is an active compound since it contains other cannabinoids such as CBN (cannabinol) and CBC (cannabichromene). Furthermore, full spectrum CBD contains traces of THC, other cannabinoids, and chemical compounds such as terpenes and flavonoids. This makes them the most effective out of all three types of CBD. Terpenes are responsible for the characteristic scent in plants. They have anti-inflammatory properties that relieve inflammation. On the other hand, flavonoids protect body cells from oxidative damage.

    Types of CBD

    Full-spectrum CBD

Full-spectrum CBD is also known as the whole plant cannabis. According to Jin et al. (2021), they contain various cannabinoids, such as CBD, CBN, and CBG (cannabigerol). It also has traces of THC (below 0.3%) to prevent any psychoactive effects. However, when used in higher amounts, they can make an individual high.

    Broad-spectrum CBD

It is similar to full-spectrum CBD because it has almost all the compounds of CBD. The major difference is that it does not have the THC compound since it is completely extracted from it.

    Isolate CBD

It is the purest form of CBD. Furthermore, CBD isolate is the least active type of CBD since all other cannabinoids and chemical compounds are extracted from it.

    What is CBD cream?

Evans (2020) stated that CBD cream is made from marijuana flowers and leaves and soaked into a carrier oil like coconut or olive oil. When CBD cream is applied, it interacts with the endocannabinoid system and binds with the endocannabinoid receptors, which helps reduce inflammation and pain in the feet. The only downside of CBD cream is that it takes longer to feel the effects since it is administered topically.

Difference between CBD Cream and CBD Oil

The only difference between CBD oil and CBD cream is the method in which they are consumed. CBD cream is applied to the target area of the skin, and it cannot be ingested as it contains various organic substances. On the other hand, CBD oil is administered sublingually or orally. Therefore, it is absorbed into the bloodstream, and the gut may process it.

Can CBD Cream for the Foot Make a Person High?

Legal (2020) reported that CBD foot cream could not make a person high as they do not get into the bloodstream. This is because the CBD foot cream is topical, and topicals interact with the endocannabinoid receptors in the skin. Therefore, an individual cannot experience any intoxicating or euphoric effects since CBD creams are not absorbed into the bloodstream. On the other hand, CBD products can only make one high if they are taken through tinctures, edibles, or thorough vaping. Furthermore, THC levels in the CBD product have to be higher than 0.3%

Can CBD Cream Show Up on a Drug Test?

CBD has very few chances of showing up on a drug test. However, there are instances where the THC may be found in small traces inside the CBD compound. This means that they can give positive drug test results when used in higher amounts.

    Benefits of CBD Foot Cream

    Treats Cracked Feet

Cream (2020) suggested that CBD cream can be used to minimize cracked heels and treat them. They do so by interacting with the endocannabinoid receptors found on the feet. Furthermore, CBD moisturizes, nourishes, and soothes feet, thus preventing cracking and healing cracks formed on the heels. However, CBD creams should be regularly used when one intends to treat this condition.

    Relieves and Heals Blisters

Blisters naturally occur when exposed to higher temperatures or intensive workouts naturally occur on the feet. CBD cream is known to have some antioxidant and antibacterial properties that alleviate blisters. Furthermore, CBD cream's antibacterial properties eliminate the bacteria that cause germs.

    Minimizes Inflammation

Inflammation on the feet can be caused when a harmful substance gets into contact with the healthy cells, causing pain. CBD creams assist in preventing and minimizing inflammation in the feet. Furthermore, inflammation is greatly experienced by women who wear heels since the feet are constantly exposed to various environmental pollutants. You can always rub the CBD cream right before wearing the shoes and after taking them off. This ensures that the feet remain healthy and helps alleviate pain and nourish the feet. CBD creams take an hour or two to become effective.

    Eases Arthritis

Some of the main symptoms of arthritis include; swelling, stiffness, tenderness, and pain in the feet. At times it may minimize an individual's mobility. CBD cream can be applied to the joint and muscle area of the feet and help manage the pain associated with arthritis symptoms.

    Conclusion

Cracked and painful heels and feet can be a stressful thing to deal with. CBD is an effective organic compound that alleviates pain and inflammation in the feet. Most people have started introducing CBD creams to their skincare routine. Besides relieving pain, CBD foot cream nourishes and moisturizes the feet.

CBD creams are also popular because they do not have any psychoactive effects. Remember to confirm whether the product has undergone intensive independent third-party testing when purchasing CBD products. Furthermore, read the customer reviews and confirm the emp source and extraction method.
